Lessons
what if I did not like your approach of
selective guilt and justice for a fellow being
overlooking the project for all, say the wind
withdraws itself from your body and the rest
of nature fosters just a tree you planted
in your personal garden, a pair of rabbits
nuzzled, passages of winter and summer
marked with cozy romantic texts; a bounty
waits on us for love is the last thread woven
despite all other designs, of bunkers, pickets
and sites used for bombs; bent in paddy
fields, a woman carrying her baby at back is
available for a conversation, not that tight-lipped
posture on a chair after a small tiff rocking,
a givenness waits on the giver and the giving.
