Originally from Iran, Azi graduated with a degree in French Literature from University of Pennsylvania, a Master's in School Counseling from George Mason University and a Post-Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Virginia Tech. She is a former teacher, school counselor and administrator. She currently works as a mental health therapist in Fairfax VA.
