Murnau retrospective

F.W. Murnau (1888-1931), the German Expressionist filmmaker perhaps best known for his films “The Last Laugh” (1924), “Sunrise” (1927), and the beautifully shot “Nosferatu” (1922), is enjoying a retrospective at Film Forum from September 10th through the 20th. David Denby’s short review of Murnau can be found here.
